There are many ways to get involved in our community, from helping with one-off events to longer, weekly commitments.
There’s always something that needs done on Sunday mornings. If you would like to be rostered on to help make service happen, please speak with Janet Williams.
Service Host, Readers, Prayers, Counters, IT Help, Chalice, and Morning Tea are all areas where we could use your skills.
We’d love to have your musical skills added to our Sunday worship. If you can sing, lead, or play an instrument, please talk to Janet Williams or Joanne Horner about getting involved. Generally, musicians gather on Sunday morning before service to run through the songs.
We’re also keen to explore adding other dimensions to our worship services, so if you have gift in drama, dance, poetry, prayer stations, or what have you, we’d love to hear from you!
Prayer happens in various ways in our parish. If you’re interested in being part of the prayer for others that happens after a Sunday service, have a chat about it with Janet Williams.
If you’re keen to be part of an anonymous prayer chain that prays for others’ needs, get in touch with Ruth Martin. And the coordinator for our monthly prayer meetings is Heather Riddell
Where would we be without church cleaners! We need you to keep the dust bunnies at bay! Helen Collins in the office organises the St Aidan’s cleaning roster, so please get in touch if you’re able to join the fun. And if you can help at St George’s, please see Meri Grace.
Our Friday Cafe provides space for anyone and everyone to share conversation over coffee and something to eat. If you’d like to be involved, get in touch with Cath Riley.
Fruit & Veg Co-Op
The parish is privileged to host a Fruit and Vegetable Co-operative, which distributes its wares on Tuesdays. If you are able to help out, please get in touch with Meri Grace.
